The Blooming Joy Journal
Rooted in Joy and Growing with Purpose
Some people grow flowers.
I grow stories, hope and inspiration too.
Every bloom carries a memory, a lesson, and a connection waiting to be told. Each petal is a chapter, each bouquet a narrative of hope, resilience, and joy. Growing flowers is more than a hobby or a business for me.
It’s an act of storytelling without words, where the garden becomes a living book and the blooms speak the language of the heart.
When I started growing cut flowers in 2018, I never imagined how much meaning would grow alongside the blooms. What began as a way to bring joy after deep personal loss has blossomed into something far greater... a flower farm, a (virtual) classroom, and a community all in one that has brought peace and great purpose.
My flower garden isn’t just rows of color, it’s a place where joy takes root in every season.
It’s where...
- I teach others how to grow beauty with their own two hands.
- Where I bring people together around creativity and connection.
- Where I get to turn seeds into something lasting: memories, confidence, and a lot of joy.
I’ve learned that growing cut flowers isn’t just about the harvest.
It’s about how you grow.... with patience, intention, and care and why you grow.....to nurture beauty, to heal, to connect, and to believe in something beyond today.
Every seed planted is an act of hope, a quiet vote of confidence that tomorrow will come, and it will be worth showing up for. There is great joy in the journey.
Whether I’m filming videos for social media, speaking to a crowd of garden lovers, or simply walking through the zinnias at sunrise, I carry this mission with me:
- to teach others the rhythm of the seasons
- to uplift weary hearts through petals and purpose
- to grow beauty that doesn’t just fill vases, it fills lives with beauty, hope and joy.
Every flower I grow is rooted in meaning, and every lesson I teach is a little seed of confidence planted in someone else, as the seeds have given me much confidence through the years.
If you’ve ever wanted to start a garden, grow your own cut flowers, or simply find more meaning in the soil beneath your feet, you’re in the right place.
This isn’t just about flowers.
It’s about growing with intention, creating beauty you can hold in your hands, and discovering the quiet joy that comes from nurturing something from seed to bloom.
Whether you're planting a single row of zinnias or a whole backyard filled with color, I’m here to guide you and to help you grow confidently, joyfully, and with purpose.
